As others see us

There was once a time when the idea of seeing yourself as others see you was aimed at humbling the ego, of making you less proud of yourself.

Not anymore it seems.

Our vanity-focused culture has bred discontent and made every woman feel less attractive than she truly is.

We seldom post promotional video but I think Dove deserves a pat on the back for this one. The use of an FBI forensic artist to sketch self-perceptions and your looks as other see you was inspired.

Thank you, Dove and Ogilvy Toronto for this.

Thank you for this post. It had me thinking that I was too harsh on myself most of the time when I should be loving myself as I am.

The best 3 minute video I have seen in so long. It has a powerful message about self image and I loved it. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing this video. It really strikes a chord deep within. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look good, but when it breeds discontent and negative self perception, something is wrong. We definitely need more messages like this!

Beauty come from within, but it helps to hear from your peers that you are beautiful too..
